The degree course was run jointly by the Computer Science Department and Business School. I majored in Computer Science, including Programming, Relational Databases, Cryptography, Object Oriented Programming, Software Development Methodologies and Computer Architecture modules.

My business courses included a wide range of "business awareness" level modules, such as Company Finance, Accounting, Business Problem Solving, Organisational Culture & Change Management.

Activities and Societies:

My final year project involved performance and benchmark analysis of large (10,000 GB) databases, comparing specialist performance database systems (Kx\Kdb) against mainstream relational database systems (MS \ IBM \ Oracle).

I also completed a Diploma for Professional Studies during my degree course, as part of a sandwich year working as a Systems & Database Administrator.
