Marty Cullen is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists with an extensive background in anti-money laundering,financial crime investigations, market data, mortgage fraud and investment banking research management. Mr. Cullen is uniquely qualified in managing enhanced due diligence, surveillance and USA Patriot Act CIP.
Marty Cullen created the enhanced due diligence service for Lehman Brothers in 1995 that is a model for Wall Street. The service resulted in cost savings of $6MM annually and reduced the Firm’s legal exposure. He turned the group into a full service entity recovering over $60MM for the Firm through due diligence work by locating imported goods of debtor clients.

· Oversaw the implementation of the USA Patriot Act into the Firm’s processes and the Client Identification Program (CIP).
· Set up mandatory due diligence process prior to Commitment Committee funding for investment banking engagements.
· Provided due diligence findings and consulted with outside private investigators.
· Worked on risk tier criteria for high-risk accounts.
· Consulted with Legal Dept and the businesses on adverse findings.
· Coordinated wire approvals via Accuity OFAC lists.
· Performed mandatory anti-money laundering and privacy CE training for 300 plus-salespersons in Capital Markets helping to drive a strong culture of compliance.
· SOX sign-off responsibilities for high risk accounts and client documentation.
· Advised on transactional surveillance alerts.
· Developed online exception reports for Client On Boarding team providing one-stop efficiencies for AML and required client documentation.
· Worked with vendor Alacra to aggregate all the KYC/CIP databases.
· Involved in internal employee investigations.
