Lacking a label, someone once called me a creative entrepreneur. It stuck.
My professional interests are product, service, and brand design, particularly when they are intertwined, ambiguous, and early-stage. My skills are an ability to combine critical thinking, practical strategy, design empathy, and common sense to prototype and visualize ideas and opportunities.
If anything typifies my work, it’s the desire to create things that have a purpose in people’s life and create a hint of product or service lust.
Personally, I’m intrigued by people with a restless mind, especially at the intersection of culture, business, design, and technology.
Apparently, I'm an herbivore.
...
I adore:
Professionally,
-turning products into services
-CEO’s who are still willing to take risks
-the ambiguity that precedes clarity
-that small truly is big, no matter what fad
Personally,
-tenacity, but not pushiness
-wit, particularly of the British/Yiddish variety
-honesty, even brutal
-eclecticism, not eccentricism
Artistically,
-The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
-Patty Griffin, Springsteen’s heir apparent
-Aimee Bender’s An Invisible Sign of My Own
-Jessica Hagy’s worldview
