Mark Bao (formerly Steven Bao) is 15-year-old student and web, marketing and advertising entrepreneur, and is the President & CEO of Avecora.
The mission of Avecora was to create innovative solutions in new and emerging media, in not only web development but in actual situations to present solutions to certain problems.
Avecora is a partner with DebateWare, where Mark works as co-founder and lead developer. DebateWare, a division of SMR Enterprises Inc., is the developer of DebateNet, the online debate and event management system for debate organizations. DebateWare has provided services for the Junior State of America, the largest student-run organization in the United States, as well as the Collegiate Society of America, a nationwide college debate organization.
Mark has also developed several Facebook apps, one of which was sold to Lee Lorenzen at Altura Ventures. Afterwards, with two marketing partners, he developed the applications TopVideo and Facebook Idol. The latter was sold to a private investor in October 2007.
Mark also is the developer of AdSocial (formerly Cadmium), the targeted social application advertising network available for developers of social applications and advertisers, that extends the social advertising graph to the web, by aggregating social network profile information and targeting advertisements around the web.
