My involvement in legal outsourcing dates back to Jan 04 when Underwoods became the first UK firm to outsource legal work to a lower cost common law jurisdiction. Chambers Guide 07 refers to Underwoods as "a pioneer of legal offshoring". I was responsible for the development of the workflow system for outsourcing cases to the firm's South Africa office. I also presided over succesful applications for Investor in People & Lexcel (UK Law Society quality standard) accreditation.

I moved to LA in Nov 06 and joined LawScribe where I am responsible for global sales and marketing and the company's overall strategic vision.

I am a recognized authority in the field of legal outsourcing, with numerous articles published on the subject. My blog has become a popular resource for those interested in the industry. I am Chair of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals' Legal Outsourcing Chapter. I developed the first State Bar approved MCLE Ethics course, provided by an LPO, on the ethical implications of outsourcing legal work. I have subsequently created two further State Bar accredited courses dealing with patent support outsourcing and offshore document review. I have been invited to speak at conferences run by: Financial Times, U.C. Berkeley School of Law, American Lawyer, ALA, the Paralegal Superconference, ACI and IQPC.

My professional goals are to maintain LawScribe's position as a leading LPO and continue to play a role in the long-term development of the industry.
