I lead software projects in Basel Switzerland in which my team developed new versions of the automation software product to the markets. My responsibilities in project management included e.g. planning and management of software development and internal process improvement projects, subcontractor management and contract negotiations, team leading, coordination with mother companies, leadership of joint project management and change control boards, reporting to company steering committee and budget management. I shared also some responsibilities with my operational manager, such as planning of yearly action plan and technology strategy, definition of project charters and personal development discussions with team members. In addition to my project management work I developed and renewed the software processes and tools towards the principles of agile software processes. As part of this work we got through major tool investments and changes together with my operational manager.

Main objective was to manage and develop the whole quality assurance process and test activities in a software development project in Basel Switzerland. I managed the quality assurance activities of the project with the QA strategy and test plan I developed. Additionally I was responsible for the test coordination within our own test team and subcontractors. I was acting as a team leader within our test team and I was involved in actual testing as well. Additionally I provided my contribution to software process development by developing our test process, root cause analysis, software reviews and incident management (based on ITIL and RUP).

I worked as a software designer and design team leader in a group developing a Media Gateway for UMTS network markets. My main responsibility was to lead the team so that it reaches the goals set for the projects. My role as a team leader consisted of team leading, software designing, team development and software process development. As a designer, I took part into design work as well, which was basically C/C++ programming and UML modelling. In my master’s thesis I made an empirical research in the field of software process development. Additionally I took part into tool development, and my role was to specify and program those tools together with another person.
