Senior Program Manager Lead at Microsoft
San Francisco Bay Area
I'm a product manager who was trained at SAP and then plunged into 3 successful search startups: SideStep (acquired by Kayak for $180M in December 2007), Kosmix, and Powerset (acquired by Microsoft in July 2008) . Through the Microsoft acquisition of Powerset, I now work for Bing.
I have a history of managing projects from conception to completion, with a final product that delights customers. Sometimes, I work on the user experience and lead teams to create innovative, useful interfaces. Other times I channel my inner geek work with engineers on deeply technical problems.
I've always straddled the line between product management and marketing, and I play both roles with equal dexterity. I've led product launches, managed PR firms, and worked at all levels of tactical and strategic marketing.
I'm on the lookout for the right opportunity to start my own company. In the meantime, I'm focused on my career at Microsoft and advising interesting startups.
