Mark Kerrigan’s Summary

On the Mark Writing (OMW) has become highly involved in public relations for the private sector over the past several years. I build rapport with employees, customers, clients, investors, or the general public.

OMW creates good relations for clients with their publics through establishing and maintaining relationships in addition to researching and responding to inquiries about the clients' businesses.

After becoming involved with Link to Nashville in April 2007 and being appointed administrator, I wrote bi-monthly newsletters for Middle Tennessee’s first geo-centered online networking platform. During the summer of '07, membership of Link to Nashville grew 40%.

During September of 2007, On the Mark Writing became the monthly newsletter writer for Link to New York.

In March of 2008, I became a writer with the PR firm Find Your Traffic out of Nashville, Tenn. I have written numerous press releases for companies located all over the US and Canada.

Professional Goals:

On the Mark Writing will continue to aspire to be the best "freelance" writing service in the country, always learning more about the most effective means of communications.

Taking the knowledge gleaned from extensive reading on the subject, On the Mark Writing strives to show the public the benefits of “social” networking for business.

I strive to merge traditional media with new media.

    We increase traffic to websites all over the world through well-written press releases and "radio interviews."

    Primarily, I write the press releases--and have a 95% acceptance rate--after contacting the client to determine the direction they would like to go with the release.

    After the client approves my press release, the principle of FYT then submits it to online press release engines and schedules a time for conducting a radio interview.

    Responsible for loading packages into trailers for shipment, ensuring that each package went into the correct trailer based on zip code. In addition to learning to build "grade A" walls, I was responsible for the picking large, oversized packages put into trailers in selected areas.

    I also was learning to manage a team of 8-10 package handlers during a shift or "sort."
