In 1985 people backed away from me because they thought training with computers was weird. Now they back away because they think I might be responsible for some of the junk elearning they have suffered. (They're wrong*.)
As long as good people are trying to help adults learn, I'll be trying to help them do it even better: strategy, learning design, writing, script doctoring... I enjoy it all and I love a challenge.

When I went freelance in 2000 I needed a website. I found it was rather fun. And I think I'm quite good at it (look at clients' sites for the evidence - I'm far too busy to maintain mine!).
* Well, 95% wrong. I plead guilty to scripting a fewer duffers in my time. But I never stayed at those places for a second project...

Elearning: Training through storytelling; taming and structuring complex content; looking numerical and mathematical content in the eye (it always blinks first).
Web development: Particular strengths include CSS, ASP, vbs, SQL and probably a few more TLAs. I particularly like working on first sites, where the visuals, layout, structure, content and user experience all have to be created from scratch.
