Horticulture would be the best description of the current main research project. Add a drizzling of software maintenance and design, and a side order of painting and decorating to get the complete menu. You didn't really expect the standard approach from me did you? I detest mono-culture in work as much as in growing. Diversity is the spice of life, n'est-ce pas?
I am not currently interested in new software projects. Odd days from trusted acquaintances to talk over new projects or research ideas are however fine.
It's all about diversity and implementing innovation with cross pollination from diverse industry experience.

This company is my consulting and research business, as well as the vehicle for managing the horticulture and the family decorating business.
We continue to support and enhance a couple of specialist legacy applications.
We are nearing the end of an experiment to determine just how much of our own food we can produce using only hand tools, and minimum inputs. Helen will take over running the growing when our youngest starts school in September 2009. The next project will begin when the orchard has had a few years to develop.
I have recently been redeveloping an old VB/Access programme into a C# and SQL server system. I have also taken the is opportunity to change the the internal tree handling mechanism to a visitation model (a la Joe Chelko).
