Mark Cheverton’s Summary

After studying Physics at Cambridge, Mark left science behind to be part of the first generation of Internet entrepreneurs during the ‘90s. Over the next decade he was involved in a number of successful Internet startups before moving into local government, via the television and games industries, to take up the challenge of the eGovernment agenda.

In 2005, Mark joined Opportunity Links (OL) to bring together his passion for the potential of new technology with his belief in the empowering nature of information for citizens. With seven years experience in the Internet sector at Director Level, Mark brings to OL an extensive experience in managing technical programmes in multi-agency environments across the public and private sector.

Mark’s track record of fostering innovation within the Internet sector, combined with a practical understanding of the business realities of front-line public sector workers, plays a key role in the development of new products and services and the continued support of OL’s customers. True to his entrepreneurial roots, Mark continues to attempt to redefine the way citizens interact with government bringing his belief in the potential of ICT, and particularly Internet technologies, to transform public sector information delivery.
