Mark D. Burdette attended the University of Charleston, where he majored in business administration and minored in accounting. Following his sophomore year, he departed higher education to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors—the startup of several companies. Most notably, in 1994, he co-founded Citynet, West Virginia’s largest Internet service provider. More recently he has devoted his time and passion to promoting entrepreneurship in West Virginia. He has served on the Increasing Entrepreneurship Subcommittee of A Vision Shared and was the General Manager of the Advantage Valley Entrepreneurial League System®.
