I've enjoyed a variety of different part-time jobs and internships, doing everything from PR to writing, administrative work to waiting tables at fine restaurants.
Most recently I worked for the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) writing press releases, spearheading social media strategies, creating copy, editing marketing materials, going on product development tours and previews, and basically anything else that needed to be done. I was fortunate to have an emphasis on tourism in my position, and loved working with great people and places to promote the state.
Before GDEcD, I was in an internship position that allowed me to write everything from a blog to articles to copy and press releases. In addition, I was called upon to perform more technical tasks on the internet, such as developing simple websites for SEO efforts and building out page content. I also had many chances to interact with people, interviewing a diverse array of individuals for articles and serving as a reporter at one of the largest industry conventions in the U.S.
