Social Media Academy co-founder, Marita Roebkes is involved in Social media since 2003 and has a deep understanding of the social web, its dynamics and tools.
Marita Roebkes is responsible for all Academy administration, backend systems, finance and operations.
While managing the Social Media Academy operations, Marita is also co-founder and manager at Xeequa where she supports online community clients and business partners.
Marita has over 15 years of experience in channels.. Marita was a founding member of BlueRoads, where she also served as a Channel Consultant, helping large enterprise customers manage their global channels effectively. BlueRoads' impressive client roster includes enterprises such as Avaya, Hitachi, HP, Juniper Networks, Nortel, Sun Microsystems and others.
Prior to BlueRoads, Marita was a founding member of Internet2000/Infinigate, a leading Value Added Distributor (VAD) of IT security solutions in Europe. During her tenure, Infinigate grew its channel to over 4,000 partners in more than 20 countries.
Marita's early career included various sales, marketing and operations roles in the Hotel, Travel & Tourism industry in Europe.

The Social Media Academy is an education and research institute providing education for business professionals from all industries on how to best apply social media to their respective businesses.
