Marissa Levy Lerer’s Summary
My goal is to be an art director, creative director or web design director for a creative company that appreciates thoughtful design. I aim to be so much more than "just a designer" and readily take on tech and management projects.
In the past year and a half, I have been working as the sole designer for e-commerce at MTV, designing 5 new sites, shop.mtv.com, shop.vh1.com, shop.cmt.com, shop.comedycentral.com and shop.LOGOonline.com. All of these sites were carefully crafted within the confines of each brand's identity. In addition to designing these sites, I also helped supervise the building and updating of all the sites, along with their newsletters and other marketing materials.
Before my work at MTV, I worked as an online Marketing Manager for a small marketing firm called drillTeam where I worked with other companies (Virgin Mobile, Gillette, Oxygen Network and Capcom) on viral marketing strategies.
I also have a masters degree in Graphic Communications, Management and Technology from New York University where we focused on the management of creative people and projects.
