"My writing career began in health care, as a journalist for two pharmaceutical/pharmacy publications, a group of multi-specialty physician newspapers, and then as an Associate Editor for the Journal of the American Medical Association's Medical News Department. Later at the AMA, I was director of Direct Mail Marketing/List Management. I moved deeper into marketing, as EVP and General Manager of a medical communications agency (part of the OMNICOM group of agencies), where I spent 13 years writing, editing and managing the publication of medical education materials - developing CME programs & sales training materials in all medical specialties, including nursing and pharmacy. In 1994, I turned to authoring books, articles and editorials about women in the workforce, ghostwriting, public speaking, and developing visibility plans and press kits for authors, entrepreneurs and business owners, and nonprofit organizations."
