Marinka Copier loves play. Especially if it involves role-play and crossing boundaries. She is heading programs in Game Design & Development, Game Art and Interaction Design at the HKU (Utrecht School of the Arts). She holds a PhD in game research and is Assistant Professor in New Media and Digital Culture at Utrecht University. Her aim is to bring game industry and education, game design and research closer together.
She is on the board of the Dutch Games Association (DGA) and the International Digital Games Research Association (DiGRA).
