I am keenly interested in using the medium of fine art to help bring positive social change and the ideal of world peace through popular media. In the past 10 years, I have worked in the non-profit and education sector, with students aged 5 through 18. Working directly with these young people and seeing first hand, their individual progress was rewarding but definitely not fast or effective enough. Being able to reach only a small number at a time was also frustrating. I see a need in mass media to provide positive, life affirming works in television, film, gaming, internet web media and educational materials that would appeal to these young people. My aim here is to find like minded people involved in mass media, the arts, and high volume production/business to joint venture/partner with so as to produce high-impact, high quality materials/media that would combine sound business & high profit with a way to inspire young people to believe in themselves, become self aware, participate in one's community and find healthy and fun ways to build self esteem.
Art creation, specializing in digital and paper-based collage work, high-end photography with experience in the commercial arts field, and over 10 years of experience as an arts educator, working with all ages and cultures of students, and using arts education as a way to bring about social change.
