Maria currently consults internationally on the organization & development of integrated provider networks and assists in the coordination and preparation for the rigors of quality accreditation, credentialing, quality management, and reimbursement contracts between US- based and other national and health insurance schemes, labor unions, governments, employers, and health care providers worldwide.

Her health care industry consultancy focuses mainly on managed care and operational issues with health care providers throughout the US. Her experience and training spans from health plan contracting, provider administration, clinical and operating room experience, and health law paralegal and mediator training and work experience. Past work experience includes: HMO provider relations coordinator, an Independent Practice Association (IPA), Physician Hospital Organization (PHO), and Management Services Organization (MSO) developer and executive director.

Since 1989, she has presented more than 2500 educational presentations and keynote addresses on topics ranging from managed care contract analysis, integrated delivery system development, medical tourism, contracted reimbursement, and global healthcare program development. She is a 5-time recipient of the coveted Distinguished Speaker Award for the Healthcare Financial Management Association's Annual National Institute.

She enjoys learning foreign languages, cooking, international travel, digital photography, theatre, symphony and science fiction. Dr. Todd also sings and plays several musical instruments including the French horn, piano, flute, guitar and electric bass.
