I have over ten years of experience as an enterprise data modeler and data base designer. I have reviewed business requirements, performed data analysis, done gap analysis, developed logical data models and created first cut physical designs. I have also created mapping documents and developed and adhered to modeling standards.
Most recently I have been working as a contractor at Cisco Systems where I have designed enterprise logical and physical data models for implementation in the Cisco Data Warehouse and in the Engineering Quality area. I have experience with many different modeling tools, including Erwin and Oracle Designer.
Due to the breadth of my experience and my friendly personal style, I am highly effective with a wide range of people, from business unit managers to software developers. I have excellent communication and organizational skills. I prefer working in a team environment, but can work effectively independently when needed.
I have a strong understanding of data analysis and excellent communication skills. I learn new technologies quickly. I have strong analytical and organizational skills. I enjoy gathering business requirements and rules and documenting them for use by development teams. I am good at analyzing complex problem areas and recommending solutions.
