* Nearly 30 years of teaching spoken and written English to college students in Japan.
* In that time I have constantly investigated different methods and approaches for teaching in general and teaching languages in particular, including cooperative learning, The Silent Way, and SAPL (Self-Access Pair Learning), autonomous language-learning, and most recently the Immediate Method.
* I have been interested in intercultural communication since childhood, and have given several public lectures and one private course on this subject.
* Teach an EFL writing course using computers and the Internet.
* Teach an EFL "World News" course using computers and the Internet. This course involves the students setting up their own blogs. I have taught this course since 2007, and student-attendance is over 90%.
* Interested in teaching French and German, as well as English.
* Interested in lecturing and giving workshops in cross-cultural communication (in English).
* Interested in lecturing and giving workshops on English literature and movies (in English).
Using computers and the Internet for EFL.
Fluent in spoken French and Japanese; fluent in written French; intermediate level in written Japanese. Low-intermediate level in spoken German; intermediate level in written German.
