The office "Mac Guy" position morphed into a full-time gig as the Avids were networked and the clients expected (gum-drop shaped) iMacs in every suite. Designed and wired the network, added Wi-Fi as it became available, administered AppleShare IP server (file, web, e-mail, FTP, DNS) then later upgraded it all to OS X Server. Responsible for transitioning a number of post-production procedures to newer technology. (Exporting and e-Mailing EDLs instead of copying them to floppy disks and courier-ing them, compressing and posting rough cuts to the web site instead of digital output to 3/4" tape & FedEx)
