I'm trying to make it easier for software developers to develop and maintain software.
I'm focusing on the "crosscutting concern" problem where some application features or requirements require changes to many different locations in the software, increasing development and maintenance costs. I've developed metrics to measure the amount of crosscutting and I've designed new language features to help reduce crosscutting. You can find more info here: http://www.columbia.edu/~me133.
