St. Petersburg State Forest Technical Academy

Experimental PhD research on sustainable practises for (agro)forestry, private farming, home gardens, timber and non-wood forest products, nature management, urban green, roof-top gardening.
The research included technical aspects of growing systems as well as social aspects, like farms or estates with focus on health care, children & youth, education, research, community living, cultural history, religion, international exchange.
The project setup & implementation was developed by myself, creating this research position at the FT-Academy.
Additional supervision was provided by experts from Wageningen University and various research institutes within the Russian Academy of Sciences. (Forest ecology department, Pushchino; Agricultural Institute, Michnevo; Forestry Faculty, Moscow University; Forestry Research Institute, St. Petersburg; Botanical gardens, St. Petersburg).
Finances were granted by five foundations, for PhD research, co-operation with the RF and technical innovations.
