Professional objective: Developing social media strategies for organizations, be they commercial, media-related or otherwise. I can also organize social media training workshops.
I almost have two graduate degrees in journalism and what I have mostly done with my journalistic training is learn how information moves, deepen my understanding of the relationship between information consumers and content platforms, and play all the buttons and links you see when you go online. I am deeply interested in social media and my new pet interest is mobile phone applications.
Before all this, I did a number of things. I was a teacher of English, French and Chinese. I have taught students as young as 15 months and as old as one needs to be to be a suit-and-tie professional. I worked in the movie industry. I did everything from making coffee and calls sheets to stacking apple boxes and driving cube trucks. I have also held numerous "in-between" jobs as an ice cream scooper, a hairdresser's apprentice (in London), a book seller, a donut-filler, a waitress in an Israeli restaurant, a tele-marketer and a used-car salesperson.
Conclusion: All of this means I am very competent in a well-rounded sense. I am not afraid of hard work. I have strong communication skills, a keen instinct for problem-solving, adaptability, flexibility and an everlasting curiosity for learning new things. I am also media-savvy and have tremendous sense of awe for the power and potential of image, sound, language, and their roles in digital culture.
Identifying problems and finding solutions to overcome them. Teaching, writing, blogging, social media (Twitter, Facebook, bookmarks, Scribd, Flickr, TweetDeck, RSS, Google Applications), organizing, explaining. I speak decent French and OK Chinese. Also, I never get lost and I am a master airport navigator.

I'm not so into honors and awards. I did skip two grades in school, though. Some people are impressed by that. Also, I up and went to China when I was 23. By myself. I didn't speak of a word of Chinese, but now I can get around easily. Some people are impressed by this, too.
