Climate change educator and writer
Munich Area, Germany
My general interests encompass aspects of conservation and population biology, evolutionary ecology, community ecology, ornithology, and climate change. More specifically, I am interested in local to global issues in conservation and active management issues that will help reduce population declines of birds, specifically in grasslands and agro-ecosystems.
In addition, I am actively involved in bridging the gap between research and public outreach, especially in the area of climate change.
My goal is to find a position in which I can connect my love for nature and research with my enthusiasm to educate and activate people in the area of climate change and conservation.
I am a mom of 2 wonderful girls, born 1999 and 2001, and have an amazing husband that tolerates most of my work excesses.
After 16 years of research on North-American grassland birds, I am a specialist in both general conservation issues such as habitat fragmentation and habitat management, and specific ecological and life-history questions on grassland birds.
Since I became active with The Climate Project, I found a new speciality - public outreach and education which I greatly enjoy.
