Through its involvement in projects funded by international and governmental institutions (e.g. the European Commission, the World Bank, UNEP, UNESCO, the Italian Ministries for the Environment and Foreign Affairs) SGI is undertaking assignments in 20 countries. SGI is currently implementing two of the world most challenging water-related projects: the restoration of the Mesopotamian marshlands between the Tigris and e Euphrates rivers and the water diversion project from the Blue to the Yellow river in China. SGI is certified according to ISO 9001 2000 quality assurance system. SGI’s annual turnover is about 12 MEUR.

- 1987: acquisto il mio primo modem 300/bps;
- 1994: provo "Mosaic" e accedo ad Internet;.
- 1995: realizzo il mio primo sito! La "Mauro Magnani's Finance Area"...;
- 1998: vendo documentazioni finanziarie d'epoca su eBay.com (ca. 1500 feedbacks positivi...);
- 2000: apro Finance Area Srl: startup per la vendita in Internet di scripofilia ad antiquariato cartaceo;
- 2004: aderisco a LinkedIN;
- 2005: chiudo Finance Area (in pareggio :-) ma con all'attivo ca. 2000 nuovi clienti;
- 2008: partecipo attivamente alle start up di social networking "Veneto-IN" (di cui sono consigliere) e di "innovatori" di Massimo Melica.
