Merely to fulfill LinkedIn's requirement to have two previous positions, I enter this. I worked for the summer at the 18 Outdoor Drive-In Theater in Jefferson, WI.

I was the projectionist. On Thursday evenings the new films would come in and I would have to splice in the theater's ads to the beginning.

During the double-feature each night, I would operate the two (now antique) projectors, which used carbon arc lamps. When one reel ended, I would switch to the next one.

The theater since went out of business and has re-opened as the Hi-Way 18 Outdoor Theater under new ownership. When I last visited, they had refurbished with new equipment.

One of the projectors I used to operate now sits as a museum piece in the concession stand.
