Ben Herman’s Summary
I have been working with search engines and optimizing web sites since early 2003. Originally utilizing time away from work to build and optimize websites for myself and friends, I quickly found that through SEO, I was able to make a small living from several web sites that I started from scratch. Being able to ethically get all websites to rank for various keyword terms was something I quickly saw a a valuable new step in online marketing.
In 2005, I began working as an SEO consultant for a local web design firm and soon there after started Mad Fish SEO, a Portland SEO Company.
I have a strong programming background that has been incredibly valuable as I have worked with clients needing a more robust online site infrastructure in addition to better marketing.
My programming skills include expert knowledge of the following:
CSS, HTML, PHP, MySQL, Smarty, Javascript, Jquery, Linux distros, Drupal & Joomla.
In addition to online marketing and programming skills, I also have five (5) years experience in market research, managing all aspects of research call centers and the technology that is used for quantitative research marketing.
