Editor, Writer at The Boston Globe; Managing Editor at Workitmom.com
Greater Boston Area
After nearly a decade in the Boston Globe's Living/Arts and National News sections (plus a two-year stint in IT), in 2005 I joined the Boston Globe's Sunday Magazine as a copy editor, focusing on larger features and short, local nuggets. I write a column about gear and gadgets for the Boston Globe's Travel Section twice a month, monthly book reviews for Living/Arts, and the occasional feature for the Globe's Sunday Magazine, Food, Travel, and Sidekick sections.
When I'm not on Globe time, I'm the Managing Editor at Work It, Mom!, (workitmom.com), an online community for female professionals who are also parents, where I manage a growing team of freelance writers as well as write articles about work-life balance, create general content for the site, edit member-generated and freelance articles, write a daily shopping blog called "Affordable Luxuries" and a twice-a-week column about juggling career and motherhood called "The 36-Hour Day." I write about work and money issues for Shine (part of Yahoo.com), about the challenges of raising many kids at LargerFamilies.com, and I guest blog at other places from time to time.
In the wee hours of the night, I'm the Consulting Editor for FEZANA Journal, a publication of the Federation of Zoroastrian Associations of North America.
