Interaction and Graphic Communication Designer
London, United Kingdom
I'm a German-Brazilian interaction and graphic communication designer with a keen eye for details, a penchant for using grids to structure information and sketching skills that can be applied to problem solving and the communication of concepts, whether in print or online media.
I'm also an avid reader with a special interest on design thinking, design process models and the role of sketching and typography in design.
In my spare time I'm interested in collecting comics, playing/watching football, learning foreign languages, watching movies and listening to rock 'n' roll.

At TecnoDohms I was responsible for two modules from the Internet Systems undergraduate course: Introduction to Design (three semesters, 70+ students) and Web Animation (1 semester, 8 students).
I reviewed and updated the Introduction to Design course syllabus focused on broadening the students' concept of what design is and its relationship and application to different areas of knowledge (e.g. architecture, art, communication, engineering, information technology).
A strong emphasis was put on the designerly ways of knowing (Cross), user-centered design (Norman) and the conceptual framework for the elements of user experience (Garrett).
Reading material included excerpts from the following authors: Nigel Cross, Rafael Denis, Adrian Forty, Jesse James Garrett, Luiz Vidal Negreiros Gomes, John Heskett, Bernd Löbach, Alan Pipes and Alexandre Wollner.
The course syllabus, activities and assessment followed some of the ideas presented in W. McKeachie's "Teaching Tips" book.
