Partner & Founder at Social Media Matters
Greater Denver Area
Currently: Director of Social Media at Collective Bias.
Previously:
From July 2008 to June of 2009, I'm founded and ran Social Media Matters - a Social Media Consulting business using Web 2.0 and New Media tools to explore new horizons and to help others (individuals and companies) to navigate these new waters and utilize the tools to their utmost effectiveness.
Past projects include:
- collaborating with WalMart on the 11 Money Saving Moms project. National campaign using social media to bring awareness to WalMart's money saving ideas for Moms (and others) trying to make ends meet during this rough economic period.
- speaking at various social media and blogging conferences
- Member of the VTech Toys Demo Team.
I spent most of the previous 10 years in the IT field - as a programmer, 3rd tier support, software analyst, technical analyst what-have-you - with a few years spent teaching CIS at the University & College levels (Denver Technical College, DeVry, Johnson & Wales, etc) - both full-time and as adjunct following the birth of my daughter. I went back into the corporate side doing Source Code Review for a Voting Systems Test Lab to EAC requirements in order to help certify voting systems software federal compliance.
In addition, I do have a background in the criminal justice and legal field that predates my IT career and was an ABA certified paralegal.
