Innovation Change Agent. Making change possible through innovation is "my way".
Generation Y will force healthcare into Participatory Healthcare 24/7 on- & offline like the internet : anytime, anywhere full of choices & options.
The upcomming changes in the patient/doctor relationship, partially invoked by the internet, will migrate healthcare into a joint-venture of patient/professional. This triggers me almost on a 24/7 basis.
Health2.0 (Dutch Zorg 2.0) reaches far beyond ICT and is in my opinion THE most challenging aspect of healthcare reform in the next 5-10 years. http://www.vimeo.com/7231823
My focus is : Stimulating the use of the capabilities, knowlegde and network to create better Health Care for day-to-day basis, aswell as in disaster setting.
By supporting professionals, the reach to patients will be multiplied. Incorperation in the Medicine Curriculum will be one of the major milestones, i am heading this goal.
One of the "tools" to understand and facillitate this proces is an online community for the Emergency Healthcare professionals i've launched. http://www.acutezorg.nl (there's as Google translation button on it.
Also our conferences http://www.reshape2009.com/en, and http://www.health20challenge.com are few other examples.
Next conferences will; be March 17th 2010 REshape and november 25-26, 2010 www.participatoryhealtcare.eu
To improve healthcare and understand the options of crowdsourcing we've launched www.aed4.eu
Building People-networks in i.e. Healthcare, resulting in better understanding and thus better Care. Knowledge of Health 2.0, Social Media, E-health, Web 2.0, Zorg2.0, disasterhandling proceses, EMS-knowledge, Traumacare, HEMS, LifeLiner3,
Only together we can cope the huge challenge to help the patiënt to change the care into participatory healthcare.
