My focus is : Stimulating the use of the capabilities, knowlegde and network to create better Emergency Health Care for day-to-day basis, aswell as in disaster situations. The use of Healthchain information-management is an important enabler within this proces.
Also the upcomming changes in the patient/doctor relationsship, partially evoced by the internet, migrate into a joint-venture of patient/professional, triggers me almost on a hourly basis. In Dutch Zorg20 (health20) reaches far beyond ICT and is in my opinion THE most challenging aspect of healtcare reform in the next 5-10 years. My focus is to support the professional, since throught them, our reach in patients will be multiplied. Incorperation in the curriculum will be one of the major milestones i am heading at.
One of the "tools" to facillitate this proces is an online community for the Emergency Healthcare professionals i've launched. www.acutezorg.nl (there's as Google translation button on it.
Building People-networks within the Emergency Healthcare resulting in better understanding and thus better Care. Knowledge of Health 20, E-health, Web 20, Zorg20, disasterhandling proceses, EMS-knowledge, Traumacare, HEMS, LifeLiner3, General Practitioner-proceses (out-of-office-hours).
Only together we can cope the challenge to help the patiënt to change the care into an patiënt-based-medicine.
