Director of Search and Analytics, Classifieds at Fairfax Media
Sydney Area, Australia
I am currently a Director of Search and Analytics at Fairfax Digital in Sydney, Australia.
At Fairfax Digital I champion in-house search engine optimization and search engine marketing. My role includes the management of multi-million dollar PPC campaigns, working with product & technology teams to improve websites for both users and search engines and the education of corporate employees from junior developers up to CEOs in the fundamentals of search marketing.
I have strong website analytics experience, primarily using the Omniture SiteCatalyst suite to provide illumination on traffic and search performance. I also provides regular competitive analysis on industry trends using data providers such as Nielsen NetRatings and Hitwise.
At Fairfax Digital, I work primarily with online classifieds - automotives, jobs and real estate. I strongly believe SEO has evolved into a school of thought centered around three objectives, increasing traffic, increasing conversion & increasing ROI.
Online, I can be found on Twitter at http://twitter.com/lucasng.
I was invited to help judge the 2007 web 2.0 awards alongside industry figures such as Danny Sullivan (Search Engine Land), Pete Cashmore (Mashable) and Anil Dash (Six Apart).
I was also 'one of 37 leaders in the world of organic SEO' that contributed to the 2007 award-winning research article, Google's Search Ranking Factors.
