Crafting a clean, concise, well-written piece that’s a perfect fit for its audience gets me jazzed; I aim to always give readers a memorable story while leaving the writing transparent. I love talking with people to find out what makes them tick, discovering what’s interesting about every place I go and spreading the word about good things in my community and beyond.
My professional ethic is to deliver clean copy on time and to give the same attention to detail to every piece, from short blurbs to in-depth features. I also have an obsession with hunting down and eliminating grammar, punctuation and usage errors and rewording confusing copy. I love making editors' jobs easier and giving clients exactly what they need—even if they can’t fully describe what that is just yet.
I'm interested in writing for print and online periodicals, business clients needing letters, articles, brochures, web material or copyediting, and am available for guest blogging.
I'm active on Twitter (@ThoughtsHappen) and here on LinkedIn. I also publish a personal blog called Thoughts Happen, at www.thoughtshappen.net.
Business writing and periodical articles tailored in content and tone for the target audience, extremely clean copy with no grammar or spelling errors, and editing that retains the tone and intent of the author while improving readability. I specialize in profiles, arts and culture pieces, local interest and business material.
