I was born and raised in Buckinghamshire in England, and did my Foundation and Diploma at Amersham College of Art, and studied Fashion Design at North East London University, though did not complete my degree. Sometimes it's a regret, but I hated my course, my tutors, fashion design etc.
I did many things, lived and worked in London for a while and in the early 90's moved down to the South Coast and studying again. I became computer literate, discovered the Internet, and gained a bunch of business qualifications.
I started studying web design seriously in about 2002/2003 and left full time work to study, then in 2004 became pregnant which sort of put a break on things.
Around this time I also got back into art more, and then about two years ago joined deviantART which was a HUGE turn around for me. I began to really get back into my craft. I took up Photography again, learnt how to use Photoshop properly, bought a Wacom Intuos, and started doing a lot more traditional art. deviantART has been a fantastic experience for me and is a great place to be inspired and learn new techniques and mediums.
Sadly I had to put my involvement in the deviantART community on hold to try and generate income. To this end I have been concentrating on painting, illustration, and built my own online shop on Zen Cart. I also sell on Etsy and Folksy. Much of my work is available as prints, postcards and stationary and my plan is to continue to build up my portfolio and stock, and next year to attend some art and craft fairs to sell my work.
