Lodewijk van den Broek’s Summary
I'm a quick learner, and a good listener and I have a talent for making connections. Connections between cause and effect, between theories, and between people. I'm deeply interested in what motivates people in doing what they do, and why they do it (or why they don't). I like discovering what the different definitions for success are from person to person, and what strategies they use to attain it. You'll find me asking questions in our conversations, and in doing so I tend to help people in their learning processes.
I'm also a fairly active blogger. It's an activity that allows me to combine my passion for writing, internet, and graphic design. My blog is a living memoir of my learning processes, and as such I have developed a writing style that's best described as a mix between educational and autobiographical writing. The topics I write about focus on achieving goals, self improvement and communication (because these are the ones I'm interested in and want to learn more about).
In recent years I have also developed a special interest for marketing and branding. I don't have an extensive experience in both fields, as I have mainly worked in jobs that were behind the scenes (keeping promises instead of making them). But if the front-end doesn't perform well, the back-end will be out of business too (a lot of companies are experiencing that right now, don't you think?). I'm still very much learning, but it's also time to get my hands dirty and do some work in this field (something more substantial than marketing a blog).
