I have always had love for both students in an academic setting and adults in business settings. As an outgrowth of my interest in helping people learn, I founded Brainiac Tutoring in Memphis TN in 2007.
My background is a bit unconventional, and includes: electrical engineering training in college; packaging and processing management in a food processing plant; survey design and analysis for a gaming company and for a municipal government; teaching at the high school and college levels; writing and editing educational programs; and sales database management for a start-up educational products company.
This wonderful assortment of experiences in a variety of settings has given me a wealth of practical applications to draw upon as I now move into the next phase of my career.

Once Algebra’scool was produced, our “start-up company” quickly determined that traditional educational salespersons were not well-suited to demonstrate and sell our unique DVD-based algebra curriculum. Hence, the production team became the sales staff. I started as a local sales representative, but quickly was promoted to Regional Sales Manager, responsible for eight States. Within several months, I was asked to take on the role of Manager of all eight of Inside Sales Representatives in the Little Rock Call Center. In this role, I supervised Sales Team who generated and followed-up on leads nationwide, managed the sales database, and developed processes to generate leads and close sales, and coordinated the efforts of our Inside Sales Team with the Outside Sales Team (product demonstrators), who travel approximately 90% of the time.
