I have been running Accessify for over 5 years, although these days it almost runs itself (minus the occassional news/blog post). It is best known for its accessibility tools and wizards (http://accessify.com/tools-and-wizards/).
I have spoken at a number of conferences because of my involvement with Accessify, including (but not not an exhaustive list):
* South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive, Austin, Texas
* @media, London, UK
* UK Usability Professionals Association, London

My role at Nationwide straddles development and design (although I lean more in the direction of developer). I am the go-to guy when a design needs to be turned around into a cross-browser proof solution, created in semantic, standards-compliant markup, that is accessible too.
I am not in management, but am a lead person within the area, with very much a hands-on role.
I have been with the company for 17 years (minus one year out when I travelled around the world). For many, this may be viewed as a negative thing - that I may be lacking drive. A quick glance at the profile below will show that I have been very active on the web outside of my day-to-day work, and I try my best to incorporate the topics in my daily work. I am also quite happy with the place that I work - the company is a good employer with a track record for keeping the employees happy. So I am up for the challenge of a new role, but am also going to choosy about anything offered.

I was technical reviewer for Paul Haine's excellent book on HTML - one of those jobs where it was difficult to find fault (Paul's excellent writing made this technical reviewing role very straightforward!).
More info, taken from http://htmlmastery.com/:
"Why settle for average HTML, when you can become a master of it? Markup is the fabric that holds the web together, but most people only scratch the surface of what can be achieved using (X)HTML.
That's where this unique book comes in—it's aimed at web designers and developers who have already mastered the basics of HTML and web design, but want to take their markup further, making it leaner and more semantically rich, for a more efficient, more usable/accessible web site.
HTML Mastery does all that and more, showing all of the HTML tags available, including less commonly used ones, where and how to use them, and clever styling and scripting techniques that you can employ to take advantage of them on your web site. ... "

This is my first completely self-penned book and it is on the topic of HTML and CSS but for the absolute beginner.
Here's what some recent buyers had to say:
* "Extremely informational for me. I have designed just a few medical websites and Mr. Lloyd's presentation has motivated me to redesign and include enhancements he so clearly illustrates. A very easy read and understandable. Highly recommend.", David Brown 5 stars, 14 Mar 2007
* "You cant buy a better book for HTML & CSS. Everything you need, nothing we dont", Mark LaRosa 5 stars, 6 Mar 2007
* "This was exactly the book I was looking for. I'm a seasoned programmer but never did any website design. ... Luckily I stumbled upon SitePoint ... I can say that this was exactly the right decision ... Thanks Ian, thanks SitePoint.", Hans van de Ven" 5 stars, 17 Feb 2007

Assistant editor (one of two) to editor for Nationwide's employee publication, circulation approx 14,000 copies per month. Initially a writer only, I developed in the job to learn DTP (Quark), Mac System 7 and PhotoShop. While writing on this team, I learnt HTML with a view to porting the newsletter to the fledgling company intranet but ultimately left for a more technical role as this was not changing quickly enough for me.
