Hands-on creative director / consultant
United Kingdom
I have been working as a professional creative for ten years, leading interdisciplinary teams on large and long-term blue chip accounts within an agency environment, and providing niche consultancy in a client setting.
My extensive record of leadership and hands-on user-focused design has resulted in successful delivery of a range of large-scale blue-chip marketing, e-learning and public sector solutions, for web, mobile, print and further platforms. Clients include Lexus Europe, Toyota Europe, Volkswagen, Price Waterhouse Coopers.
From conception and pitch through to testing, delivery and development strategy I have had solid experience of all aspects of the project workflow. I have been responsible for leading teams to successfully deliver solutions which constantly exceed client expectations.
I am passionate about working with people to get to the heart of a solution, moving easily between client liaison, requirements capture and presentations, to running user focus groups and accessibility tests and leading and inspiring production teams to achieve stunning results.
I enjoy designing with versatility and aesthetic sophistication, and a strong focus on usability.
My skills include creative strategy, branding, interface design, information architecture, consultancy for marketing strategy and information visualisation, absorbing complex material and transforming this into engaging solutions.
I have an aptitude for picking up new skills, a thirst for knowledge and enthusiastic commitment to life-long learning.
My consultancy work is informed by my wide-ranging interests, covering such areas as cultural and design theory, art history, pedagogical and andragogical theories of learning, social networking, accessibility, usability, web standards and cybernetics.
