Livia Iacolare’s Summary

With a background in liberal arts and humanities, I started my professional career as a new media researcher, reporting and writing on new media, Internet and online communication.

I'm not a technical person: all I am able to do is to fully commit myself to a cause and make people commit to it as well by using the new technologies and the Web. This is what I'm presently doing for Current TV in Italy. I don't hesitate to put my reputation on the table when I believe in what I do. With all due respect, I don't think I'd be able to provide the same results if I worked for Tampax.

As a community manager with 10+ years of experience, I know that a company must distinguish very well between its online identity and its online reputation: you build the former with a couple of brainstorming sessions and a good marketing team; the latter, instead, trascends any expectation. I am specialized in fostering sentiment about my company.

I am committed to working only with brands and companies that have a strong mission and want to change the world (or, at least, their market). I'm interested in entertainment, culture and humanitarianism.
