Lisa Habbeshaw is a Director in FTI's Technology Consulting practice and is based in San Francisco. She has more than 20 years experience in the legal profession and specializes in electronic discovery and electronic information management including electronic discovery readiness and compliance with the Federal Court Rules governing Electronically Stored Information (ESI).
Ms. Habbeshaw's experience includes high-stakes matters requiring strategic process and technological depth. Ms. Habbeshaw has led numerous discovery teams as a first-responder initiating the development and implementation of effective protocols relevant to data preservation, spoliation prevention, data capture, data processing and document review in such matters as the injunction brought against Merck & Co. in the $1.1 billion acquisition of Sirna Therapeutics. Ms. Habbeshaw's discovery management, data preservation and production protocols have been accepted by govenrment agencies including the FTC, DOJ, SEC and the DOD.
Ms. Habbeshaw participates in a variety of industry events and conferences including the Sedona Conference, where she is a member of Working Group 1 and Working Group 6. In addition to offering her services as a consultant, Ms. Habbeshaw welcomes the opportunity to share her knowledge through her academic classes in Electronic Discovery, speaking engagements and professional writings. Ms. Habbeshaw is honored to be an invited ediscovery speaker co-presenting with a California Appellate Court Judge for an all-day Continuing Legal Education Program.
