Lisa Michelle Galley's experience covers structuring and arranging real estate financing, capital structuring and property acquisitions for domestic US and international investors. She has completed more than $3.5 billion in commercial real estate transactions and helped build real estate lending platforms Europe and North America. Prior to her banking roles, Lisa worked in investment management in Southern California, focusing on acquisitions, dispositions and asset management of commercial real estate for private real estate funds and institutional investors.
Her experience also extends to sustainable real estate, where she is one of the few real estate specialists in the US with direct financial and technical expertise in establishing lending programs and financial products tailored to green real estate. Her sustainability work included developing all the components of an executable green real estate investment strategy.
Her extensive experience with green real estate financial products has made her a sought after thought leader and consultant on underwriting and lending on green real estate, urban sustainability and integrating environmental finance within green real estate. Audiences benefit from her unique perspective, and she's been a frequent speaker at events held by the Urban Land Institute, the United States Green Building Council and the 2007 Triple Bottom Line Investing Conference. She is active with ULI and NAIOP and is a member of the 2008 USGBC-NCC Board of Directors. She is a contributing author to research on green real estate finance commissioned by the Commission on Environmental Cooperation. Articles from her blog are syndicated through real estate online communities. She is also the host and co-producer of a radio show for sustainable cities and real estate investors, airing in 2008 to western US markets.
