I’m seeking opportunities for collaboration. I’d like to continue using my legal experience, affinity for research and writing, along with my love of food, blogging, photography, and social media.
I had a great time combining all of these recently by speaking about copyright and trademark issues impacting food bloggers. I spoke as part of a panel called "Protecting Yourself and Your Work" at the BlogHer Food Conference in San Francisco. I also wrote a Guest Post for BlogHer's website analyzing the recent Opinion & Order in the Jessica Seinfeld Cookbook case.
Currently, I research a variety of topics as a freelance writer for the legal document website LegalZoom. I’m a licensed Massachusetts attorney and an intuitive SEO writer with a knack for finding original stories.
I blog about my life, food, and current events, at Anali’s First Amendment, the blog that I founded in 2006, while working full-time as a Contract Attorney. I’ve added a review arm to my blog called Anali Says, where I review products and services.
My interest in food and writing has led me to participate in the blogging community through involvement in blog events and writing guest posts. A recipe that I developed is included in The BloggerAid Cook Book, a new book which is raising money for famine relief.
I’ve written book reviews for the Masschusetts Bar Association’s Lawyers Journal and contributed restaurant reviews for the book Hungry?Boston.
Previous work subject matter includes: state and local sales and use tax, fire codes, life insurance, professional discipline, white collar crime, and discrimination impacting housing, public accomodations, and credit.
My forte: I’m very, very, curious.
