Leslie Kenton’s Summary

Award winning writer, nutritionist, broadcaster, lecturer, shamanic teacher, and social activist, Leslie Kenton is well known for her work in television and journalism throughout the English-speaking world. A living example of health and vitality, she is described as ‘the most original voice in health and beauty’ and ‘the guru of health and fitness’. She is well known for her no-nonsense approach and highly respected for her thorough, in-depth reporting.

Leslie conceived and created the worldwide ORIGINS product range for the cosmetic giant Estee Lauder as well as health-care and beauty product ranges in both Europe and Japan. In the UK she formed her own company, imported and promoted the world’s first internal regenerative skin care product, Imedeen into Britain and took sales from zero to £2.3 million a year in less than 24 months. She has done consultancy work and development for many corporations including Guinness and Boots in the UK, Unilever in the USA, Sunstar in Japan.

Leslie lectures and teaches throughout the world, continually striving to bring to light natural methods of enhancing health that enable people to gain more control over their own lives, achieve a high degree of autonomy, and make full of personal creativity. She insists that real health comes from within and the only true ‘guru’ is the individual human soul.

A consultant to European Parliament for the Green Party, she has also created teaching modules for Britain’s Open University. She was first Chairperson of the Natural Medicine Society in the UK. She won the PPA ‘Technical Writer of the Year’ and other awards for her work. Her work was honored by her being asked to deliver the McCarrison Lecture at the Royal Society of Medicine. Leslie is the daughter of American Jazz musician Stan Kenton. She divides her time between her homes in London and the South Island of New Zealand.
