I define myself as an entepreneur. I love challenges, to dream BIG and then to work hard to make it happen.
My background is in different deep technical disciplines, since consulting services, to developer tools, software design and usability. I have also published an academic paper about modeling languages for user interfaces.
The last two years I have developed my management abilities, leading a highly talented team, producing the #1 product in a very competitive market and winning several awards in the industry. I really enjoy team work and believe that people is the key piece for any successful project.
I also have a strong business side, and an innovative mindset. I really enjoy discussing about new products, how to create new markets and better opportunities.

February 2008 — Present (1 year 10 months)
I run a development office for ComponentOne in Uruguay.
The office is in charge of several innovative products like Studio for Silverlight, Studio for WPF and XapOptimizer.
Studio for Silverlight won the Jolt Award in 2008, in the Components and Controls category, and is the most complete & robust suite of controls for the Silverlight 3 platform.
(Computer Software industry)
January 2006 — December 2008 (3 years )
Himalia was a research project I continued after my University
thesis.
I created a Model-Driven Development approach for User Interfaces, and a Visual Studio tool, to do that.
I introduced several new concepts in that project, like semantic user intefaces, continuos prototyping, etc and presented an academic paper in the 1st International Workshop on Model-Driven User-Centric Design & Engineering (MDUCDE2007) in Seoul, Korea.
(Privately Held; Computer Software industry)
December 2002 — December 2005 (3 years 1 month)
Urudata was my first job in the software area.
During the three years there, I learned how to deal with customers, understanding business needs and providing compelling solutions. I worked in several projects for both public and private companies, playing different roles and responsibilities, and living in several countries in South America including Argentina, Bolivia and Venezuela.
I enjoyed and learned a lot during those years, working with very talented team of professionals.
I left the company to have full time dedication to a personal research project, started during my Thesis.
(Non-Profit Organization Management industry)
May 2004 — December 2004 (8 months)
I joined Un Techo Para Uruguay (as was originally named) in the beginning, in its first construction day, right after house #2, with around 15 members.
It was the first "start-up" I was.
I met the best young entrepreneurs in my country there, what was a huge source of emotional power for the following years.
I leaded the new "Proyectos" area during a few months (now Social Habilitation) when the organization was still in the early days.
Right now, the organization has already more than 1200 built houses in the country, moving around 6000 volunteers each year.
