Notable Achievements:
FHM.com – Led the relaunch and redesign of the UK’s biggest premium Men’s Lifestyle and Entertainment website, and Bauer Media’s most valuable digital property. The new platform and design are due to be localised and rolled out to FHM’s nine territories worldwide.
The project delivered a ten-fold increase in visits to FHM’s premium Lifestyle channels. Delivered a saleable increase in display/pre-roll ad inventory, record video views on FHM TV, new sponsorship tenancies, and new direct revenues from a whitelabel dating application. Grew FHM’s share of the Men’s Lifestyle sector, with a sustained 30% increase in PIs during the first quarter after launch.
Video widgets – Devised and delivered a content ‘discovery’ video widget, workflow, and backend tagging/syndication platform to build a new video business model for Bauer Media. The video widget has delivered a five-fold growth in saleable pre-roll inventory, and has been rolled out to Heatworld.com, Empireonline.com, Zootoday.com and FHM.com, with more brands set to follow.
Content and community platform – Prioritised and managed enhancements to Bauer’s common technology platform and launched two verticals.
Search engine optimisation – Led all technology aspects of Bauer’s SEO change programme, delivering a 24% increase in organic traffic across a portfolio of magazine, radio and TV websites.

Notable Achievements:
Blue Peter – Responsible for all Blue Peter’s online, mobile, interactive TV, and email broadcast output. Increased website UUs by 33% and user generated content by 200% within first six months. Prototyped an online participation platform to reward site members with real Blue Peter badges.
Interactive Video innovation – Pioneered and implemented the BBC’s first video blogs, stream-switching flash video applications, the first stream-switching interactive TV show to be based in a live studio, and Children’s BBC’s first catch-up TV video podcast.
360 degree production – Established multi-platform content production and commissioning in a traditional TV studio team. Successfully pitched for funding from both TV and New Media departmental commissioning rounds.
MyCBBC - Developed the initial concept for an innovative, safe social networking site for children.
Also led the production of content and applications for Top of the Pops, Newsround, BBC Sport, CBeebies, Bob the Builder, the relaunch of the CBBC web portal, and CBBC’s Smile and Xchange.
