• Lead the Systems and Data Analysis Group in the B/Q Distribution Engineering Department. The group developed and integrated solutions for a variety of platforms including .Net and HP-UX. I was responsible for supporting mapping, modeling, and contingency analysis applications.
• Supervised the B/Q Secondary Rebuild Group which was responsible for targeting and upgrading unreliable components in the Secondary Grid.

• Participated in the development and selection of next generation systems that will improve network reliability and the analysis process. Worked with Columbia University on machine learning and decision support algorithms.

• Designed, implemented and maintained the Engineering Workshop (EW) web application for contingency analysis; runs on SQL Server 2000 with an ASP.NET front-end (> 100,000 LOC). This application integrates data from distributed sources to analyze electrical distribution network failures. It is used by the Brooklyn/Queens Engineering group, field crews and the Emergency Control Center.
• Created an extensive Reporting Engine for processing Crystal Report files
• Maintained IDMS, Brooklyn Mapping System, which runs on an HP-UX Oracle Cluster. IDMS is the primary source of information for all electrical equipment installed in Brooklyn
• Adopted cross-platform database connectivity using Linux PERL scripts and DOS batch files
• Mentored students from the Con Edison/Brooklyn Technical H.S. Intern Program (2 per year)
• Recognized for effort in the Summer ’03 Blackout and the Winter ’04 stray voltage inspections
