Business development and sales primarily for Nethra's core products which are video camera SoC devices and software. The technologies include advanced video/image processing and multi-stream H.264 encoding. Primarily used with Aptina and OmniVision sensors, many Nethra projects involved the entire camera electronics chain aft of the sensor. Sound Devices' PIX camera-attached video recorders were a notable adopter of the codec libraries.

Also product-managed and sold the Ambric-architecture, massively-parallel processor that Nethra acquired in 2009. I re-positioned the embedded processor chip as a more turn-key solution for professional video devices with production-proven pro video codec software such as Apple ProRes 422, Avid DNxHD, AVC-Intra and other video formats.

Founding marketing/biz-dev employee for this innovative massively-parallel processor semiconductor company. Co-wrote original biz plan for $1M seed funding. Did much of the early customer and pro video market development to help win the $10M Series-A. Negotiated a special Adobe partner access to the proprietary Adobe API for accelerating their video compression tools, using a PCI Express acceleration approach.

Initially, worked on business plan, parallel-programming tools product management, company-launch marketing, early sales, and biz dev primarily in the video infrastructure space. Pro video and imaging products included H.264 and other video codecs, scalers, de-interlacers, etc. Experienced with video for embedded systems or host systems in a variety of segments such as broadcast, streaming, post-production effects, and surveillance. Also worked on medical imaging market development, primarily ultrasound and 3D fluoroscopic X-Ray. Also worked on detailed market and massively-parallel algorithm-fit for bioinformatics, and network security (mainly 10Gbps intrusion detection). (Ambric was acquired by Nethra Imaging.)

As one of the earliest Calibre marketing staff, led a 2-year campaign to establish Mentor’s verification software as the ‘gold standard’ tool in key Asian foundries, directly enabling hundreds of millions in software revenue from fabless semi customers. Then founded a new, adjacent product line through a software company acquisition I led, plus co-authoring a fundamental performance patent. The new system resulted in a huge speed-up in performance on 64-processor systems reducing run-times from weeks to hours. Calibre is still a principal profit and revenue driver of the company, and one of the most successful product franchises in industry history.
Before joining Calibre group, gained two years M&A experience in Mentor's biz dev group, with total deals flow of about 45 – including licensing, acquisitions of technologies and software companies in the U.S. and Europe.
