Assistant Casting Editor at Back Stage
Greater New York City Area
As an Assistant Casting Editor at Back Stage, I am responsible for the hundreds of casting notices published each week. From editing and proofreading, to customer service, to forming relationships with casting directors and union reps, I am involved in nearly every aspect of the industry. In addition, I am a frequent contributing writer to Back Stage and BackStage.com, as well as a main contributor to Blog Stage, the official Back Stage blog.
During my academic career at NYU, I was an intern for Filmmaker Magazine (cir: 60,000) and amNewYork (Manhattan’s most widely circulated daily newspaper). While at Filmmaker, I was involved in every aspect of the production of a quarterly magazine and contributed several published articles. amNewYork gave me experience in the production and publication of a daily newspaper, and I have also contributed many feature stories.
My work has been published by Back Stage, amNewYork, Filmmaker Magazine, the New York Resident, The Jewish Exponent, WorldPress.org, the Epoch Times, GotBuzzed.com, and NYU’s daily student newspaper, the Washington Square News.
